National Live Theatre is on again next Thursday, 28th May, 7pm at LAS Portree, this time showing 'The Playboy of the Western World'.
I am pleased to report that, partly as a result of an insert in our Newsletter, LAS had a full house in the stalls at last month's Live event!
We, the audience, were very pleased with the quality of the production on the screen, the very comfy chairs and the fact that the cost to see live theatre at its very best was miniscule compared to paying to go to a theatre.
So, please book at LAS. These productions are shown once a month only. We use it or we lose it, and I am an audience member who doesn't want to lose it!
Thanks
Meena

Help us get organised before something happens.
Storms. Flooding. Power cuts. Wildfires. Major accidents.
When it happens, neighbours are often first to help.
We are creating a Community Emergency Plan for Waternish so we can:
share clear, reliable information fast
check on people who may need extra support
know who to contact and what help is available
use local skills and resources in a coordinated way
We need local people to get involved.
Resilient communities:
understand local risks and who may be most affected
use local skills and resources to prepare and respond
work together with emergency responders before, during and after an emergency
Working with emergency responders
This plan supports the work of the Skye and Lochalsh Emergency Liaison Group, led by Police Scotland, with partners including the emergency services, NHS, the Council, and other agencies.
